Starting weight = 213.2 lbs.
Ending weight = 211.8 lbs.
For the third straight week, I lost weight. It was 1.4 pounds this week. For the three week-span, I’ve lost a total of 4.4 pounds.
Once again, I skipped breakfast on two days — Thursday and Saturday. On those days, my total calories were 200 – 300 lower than the 1,649 average shown in the table above.
Maybe I’ll try a full-day fast at some point. Then again, I like to eat, and my goal is to reach and maintain a healthy weight without too much suffering. Or any suffering.
Physically, I’d be fine. My body would burn some fat, of which I still have plenty. But psychologically I’d feel deprived. The main point of losing weight the low-carb, high-fat way is that I don’t feel deprived. I don’t suffer. I can keep eating this way forever.
That said, I still may try a full-day fast, just to see what it feels like.

I typically always avoid breakfast nowadays. I’m usually just not hungry enough to bother cooking it. If I am, I will eat it. But I also tend to eat later in the day so that helps.
Also, I find coffee does make me feel full. After having lost a total of 80 pounds and reached and maintained my ideal weight for a few years now, I think drinking a cup or two of coffee in the morning was one of the keys for me. I had never really drank it much prior.

Mark — Congrats on losing 80 pounds and keeping it off! I agree with you about coffee. I may skip breakfast, but never my morning coffee.
